Summary: Solidscape®, Inc. Announces Speed Improvements and Software Updates at Euromold

MERRIMACK, NH, December 8, 2008 – Solidscape®, Inc., a leading provider of precision rapid pattern making systems, today announced speed improvements on their most current line of 3-dimensional wax printers.

The T76® modeling system now builds models 22% faster than before, delivering the same high precision, accuracy and castability that have made it the top choice for fabricating master models for investment casting. Solidscape developed a new method of structuring and sequencing material deposition that enables all T76 units to build models up to 22% faster than before, using standard InduraCastTM and InduraFillTM materials and without any machine changes. Simply installing the new version of ModelworksTM and using any of the “Quality 4” slicing configurations automatically engages the faster model building feature. The ModelWorks upgrade is available free to all existing T76 customers and may be obtained by contacting your local Solidscape reseller. The R66® modeling system now builds models 9% faster than before, delivering the same high precision, accuracy and castability that have made it the top value for fabricating master models for investment casting. Solidscape has introduced new embedded software that enables all R66 units to build models up to 9% faster than before, using standard InduraCastTM and InduraFillTM materials. Simply load the upgrade files onto a flash drive, plug the flash drive into the R66 and then power up the R66 to load and enable the new software and faster model build speeds. The R66 upgrade software is available free to all R66 customers and may be obtained by contacting your local Solidscape reseller. Solidscape is delighted to be showing the new D76TM high precision 3D waxup system. It is based on the proven T76 hardware and software platforms and includes specialized ModelWorks configurations that are optimized for dental waxups, including bridges and full anatomies. The D76 configurations take advantage of the latest Solidscape material deposition techniques and fabricate 30 full anatomy dental prostheses in sixteen hours. The high precision and accuracy of the D76 is ideally suited for critical margin lines, typically eliminating the need for manual touchups. The D76 is being sold though Solidscape resellers specially selected for their expertise in serving the dental laboratory market.

Solidscape periodically releases software upgrades for its products to improve performance, enhance system reliability and correct the anomalies that have been reported from the field. Toward that end, Solidscape has just released a new version of the embedded Control, GUI and Driver Software for the T76, R66 and D76 product lines. This release improves the reliability of jet checking and volume calibration and also corrects several aberrant behavior conditions, in addition to providing the speed improvements for the R66. The embedded control software upgrade is free to all T76, D76 and R66 customers and Solidscape strongly recommends that all units be upgraded. Solidscape has also released a new version of ModelWorks software. This version provides support for the new T76 Quality 4 configurations responsible for the T76 speed improvement. It also includes changes to the auto arrange function on the D76. The ModelWorks software upgrade is free to all T76, D76 and R66 customers. It is recommended that all T76 users upgrade to this revision. The ModelWorks software upgrade may be obtained by contacting your local Solidscape reseller. All new Solidscape units shipped in December will include the new versions of ModelWorks and Click-It software. The Solidscape Service Department will contact all resellers during the week of December 8th with details regarding field upgrades. All T76, R66 and D76 end users are encouraged to take advantage of the free upgrades and should contact their local Solidscape reseller.
